The Whatcom County Library System is proud to offer eligible employees a competitive benefit package.

All employees are eligible for our Employee Assistance Program, supplemental benefits through Colonial Life, and a Deferred Compensation Program. All employees begin accruing sick time upon hire.

Employees working an average of 70 or more hours per calendar month are eligible for the Public Employees Retirement System plan.

Employees working a regular schedule of 24 or more hours per week are eligible for paid holidays, vacation leave and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental and vision insurance, and long term disability insurance.
