Public Works Procurement

Whatcom County Library System (WCLS) regularly conducts major and minor capital as well as small public works projects to maintain and improve our libraries. These projects can be as large as a building a new building or as small as replacing interior lights with more efficient LEDs.

In Washington State, public agencies may choose to utilize a small works roster to connect with businesses to contract for public works projects if the work will not exceed $350,000. The state prescribes various rules about keeping a small works roster, ensuring it is up to date and that there is an annual opportunity for businesses to be listed on the roster. Using a small works roster is an alternative to advertising per contract for public agencies, subject to state regulations. WCLS utilizes the MRSC roster for small works.

WCLS can also create consultant lists for businesses that provide architectural, environmental, engineering, and other technical services to local agencies.

Businesses interested in working with WLCS on projects using a roster contracting process must register at www.mrscrosters.org and select WCLS in your application.

WCLS is seeking responses from qualified parties for the following projects below. We thank you for your interest in working with us!
