WCLS hosts Birch Bay Library information sessions

Whatcom County Library System (WCLS) Executive Director Christine Perkins will host four online community meetings to share information and to answer questions about the proposed Birch Bay Vogt Community Library. Voters who live within the boundaries of the proposed Library Capital Facility Area (LCFA) will vote Nov. 2 to determine if they will fund construction of the 7,600-square-foot library through property taxes.

The meetings are 7-8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 27; 2-3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 6; 2-3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9; and 7-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 19. All sessions are online via the Zoom video platform. Pre-registration is required at wcls.org/happenings. A link will be emailed to registered participants prior to the meeting. The first session will be recorded and shared on the library system’s website, wcls.org/birchbay.
