The Chuckanut Writers Conference — produced by Whatcom Community College and Village Books — invites submissions of poetry or creative nonfiction for a virtual reading of creative work that responds to the coronavirus pandemic. The virtual reading is scheduled to take place the evening of Thursday, September 10 at 6:30.
We will accept submissions until July 15, 2020. We are open to submissions from writers who reside in Whatcom County. Creative work may explore any aspect of the coronavirus pandemic. We also invite submissions from young writers and will include in the reading elementary students, as well as junior high and high school students.
We expect to make selections by August 31, 2020.
