When WCLS patrons set up their library accounts, they can choose whether to receive phone, text, or email notifications about items they have requested or items that are overdue. Patrons using phone notifications will notice a few changes to the service as of Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2022.
Patrons may notice that the messages are shorter and that the automated voice has a different tone. They may also notice a change to the caller ID, which now uses the direct line of their library. Patrons may wish to update their contacts with the new phone number. WCLS chose the new notification service because it is more cost-effective and allows more flexibility for custom messages.
