Request for Proposal: Classification and Compensation Study 2026

Whatcom County Library System (WCLS) is commencing a Classification and Compensation Study Project in 2026. WCLS intends to engage an outside consultant to review its current classification and compensation structure for internal equity and market competitiveness, to present recommendations based on analysis (including a cost impact analysis), and to assist in the implementation of recommendations. The purpose of the Classification and Compensation Study is to review and revise compensation ranges for all positions to align organizational resources with our current and anticipated needs.
