Racism and Antiracism: Resources for Learning

Asian American & Pacific Islander Voices

AAPI Voices in Film | Adult Fiction | Adult History | Memoirs | Poetry | Teen Books | Kids Books | Early Years

WCLS staff have developed several booklists focused on racism and the experiences and voices of our BIPOC (Black, Indigeneous and People of Color) communities. To promote understanding, we’ve recently added more reading recommendations featuring Asian American and Pacific Islander authors and experiences. We affirm our organizational commitment to anti-racism and to public libraries’ role as a space for conversation, growth and understanding. These resources from our collection are a place to start.

Here are two websites where you can learn more about and report hate incidents against Asian American and Pacific Islander communities: https://stopaapihate.org/actnow/ | https://www.standagainsthatred.org/report
