Thank you for your interest in Whatcom County Library System’s Alphabet Book Collaboration Project!  We’re excited to come together to create something that is fun, educational, and documents a slice of life in Whatcom County during this unusual period of time — the COVID-19 Pandemic of 2020.

You can post your photos to your Instagram account (make sure it’s set to Public), tag @WCLSlibraries, and include #wclsabc .  If you prefer to keep your Instagram account private, you can email your photos to wclsabc@wcls.org .  Please include your name, email, phone number, and city where you live along with your photo.

We’ll be selecting the top photos we receive each week and re-posting them on the @WCLSlibraries Instagram every Monday. Visit @WCLSlibraries on Instagram every Monday to see if your photo was selected – and tell your friends to “like” your photo on Instagram!

You can submit as many photos for each letter as you like – and can submit them for multiple letters, all the way to Z.  The last day of this project will be May 22, 2020.

Official Rules

 

The Whatcom County Library System Alphabet Book Collaboration begins on or about April 20, 2020 and ends on May 22, 2020.  Entrants will have twenty-six opportunities to upload a personal photograph that best demonstrates the letter of the day as seen around your home or out your window.

 

By posting your original photos to your Instagram feed with the hashtag #wclsabc in the caption and/or emailing the photos to WCLSabc@wcls.org, you grant WCLS a non-exclusive, limited license (but not the obligation) to repost the photos on social media, the WCLS website, and other WCLS promotional materials, without further notice, consent, or payment.  You also grant WCLS the right to publish any of your selected photos in a printed book.  Please note: while everyone is welcome to post alphabet images as part of #WCLSabc, only images taken in Whatcom County will be included in the printed book created at the end of the project.
