Library Giving Day

ONLINE DAY OF GIVING ESTABLISHED TO SUPPORT WHATCOM COUNTY LIBRARY SYSTEM

Library Giving Day is April 10, 2019. Give Online.

Whatcom County Library System (WCLS) is raising funds through the inaugural Library Giving Day campaign.  This one-day online fundraising event occurs on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 and encourages patrons and library lovers nationwide to make a gift to their local library system.

Library Giving Day reminds us that libraries, small and large, serve as cornerstones for our communities.  Libraries offer books, of course, and innovative programs that promote lifelong learning, connect patrons to technology, and advance knowledge.

“Your gift on Library Giving Day is a way to thank WCLS for the services (and savings) you’ve enjoyed over the year by using your local library, and a way to “pay it forward” so that future generations will always have libraries to love,” said Whatcom County Library Foundation Development Director Jennifer Rick.

Giving to Whatcom County Library System on Library Giving Day, or any day, is easy: visit www.wcls.org/library-foundation and click on the Library Giving Day or the Give Online button.  Gifts of all sizes are welcome.  It’s WCLS’s 75th Anniversary this year – donors may wish to celebrate with a gift of $75; or perhaps $19.44 in honor of the year the library system was founded.

“We hope that people from all corners of the county will make donations on Library Giving Day, in celebration of the ways WCLS libraries have touched their lives,” said Rick.
