Whatcom READS! logoIt's that time of year hikers! Well, no, sorry. Not much hiking in the PNW in January but there's lots of great stories about hiking in our Whatcom READS! programming this year. Vicarious hiking, that's the ticket for January in the PNW. All events are free.

See the display created by Jeff Jewel of the Whatcom Museum that focuses on the “mother” of the PCT, Catherine Montgomery, who was supervisor of primary grades at Washington State Normal School (now WWU) during her time in Bellingham. During library open hours.
