Spotlight on Teen Volunteer: Megan

Senior, Windward High School

What did you do as a volunteer at the library? This year I made a video book trailer for the One Reads Book, The Pearl Wars. It was sent out to all the schools who are participating. Hopefully, by showing the trailer, more kids will get excited about reading the book.

 Why volunteer at the library? Ever since I was little, I’ve been a huge book fan. The library is my home away from home. I love books – I have at least 300 at home!

What book have you fake read? The second Twilight book, New Moon. I hated it so much. It was so boring. The movie was way better.

What do you want to be when you grow up? I would like to actually be a pediatric RN and work at the library on weekends. Really. I’m not just saying that!
