Databases:
The WCLS has several databases that will help you in researching information on your topic. These databases are accessible online with the use of your library card, or they are available at any one of our nine branches. Below are a sample of the databases.
Biography Resource Center: A great database for looking up information about people from all time periods.
CultureGrams: This is an excellent database for finding information on countries and states.
eLibrary: This is a database that contains full-text sources, maps, photos, charts, and transcripts from news programs.
Facts on File World News Digest: This is a great database for finding primary sources on current events, history, and science news.
History Resource Center: Includes primary resources.
ProQuest: This database contains over 3,000 different newspaper and magazine articles. Some are full-text.
Reference Center Gold: This database can be used for finding articles in newspapers, reference books, and magazines.
World Almanac: This database is good for looking up facts.
