LIBRARY
ASSIGNMENT ALERT
The
Library System Can:
-
Supply
your local library with extra materials.
-
Supply
your classroom with a “classroom collection”
of materials. (See Guidelines below.)
-
Limit
how much one person is allowed to check out.
-
Assign “library
use only” to some materials.
-
Alert
you to potential problems before they occur.
Classroom
Collection Guidelines:
-
Three
weeks’ notice is required. The usual quantity is
20 – 50 items. Materials will arrive as they become available.
-
Want
several copies of a single book? The
number we can
provide will vary depending on how many are available in our
collection. (Not checked out or requested by other patrons.)
-
Please
note: You will need to place holds on Bellingham
Library books yourself, using your own library card. Bellingham
allows each patron to check out only 1 children’s country or
state book at a time, and 3 children’s books per subject on
all other non-fiction topics. If
you place holds on more than
this, Bellingham will cancel the excess holds.
-
All
usual library rules apply. The library card holder is responsible
for the materials.
-
Institutional
cards are available with authorization from your school
administration. Ask at
check-out desk.
