Jane Brody, New York Times columnist for almost 40 years, has taught us to eat well and now turns to helping us to understand dying well.  Her latest book, Jane Brody's Guide to the Great Beyond, explores, among other issues, the nuances of advance directives; that is medical living wills.

On October 15, the Lynden Public Library welcomes Karen Ssebanakitta from Peace Health presenting 5 Wishes --a 2 hour interactive guide to advance directives-what they do, what they don't do and what we all need to consider.  The workshop is free and open to the public, but the seating is limited so please call the Lynden Library to let us know if you plan to attend.  354-4883 ext. 3
