Here's to the Women: an evening with Linda Allen |
Through songs, images, stories and readings, the audience will meet Spokane’s Helga Estby who walked across America in 1896, suffragists Emma Smith Devoe and May Arkwright Hutton, Alice Lord who organized Seattle waitresses in the 1930s, Rosie the Riveter, an icon from the ‘40s, and Rosalinda Guillen, a contemporary activist. Bellingham songwriter, performer and educator Linda Allen has a passion for telling the stories of women whose stories may have been lost.
