New Features Make Using eBooks Easier Print Email

eReaderAre you constantly checking to see if your eBook is ready to check out? If so, you can now turn on automatic borrowing for titles you’ve placed on hold and when ready, they will be automatically checked out to you. With automatic borrowing, you no longer have to worry about missing the hold pickup time! You’ll receive an email to let you know the title is ready to read.

Deming Library to Digitize Historic Nesset Family Photos Print Email

Lynden Library adds 3D Printer for Public Use Print Email

3D!Exciting news! The Friends of the Lynden Library have donated a MakerBot Replicator 2 desktop 3D printer to the Lynden Library. An open house and demonstration is planned for September 17, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the library. Manager Sarah Ward anticipates the printer will be extremely popular. Demonstration drop-ins and hands-on labs will start in October.

South Whatcom Update Print Email

South Whatcom LibraryDuring the South Whatcom Library space closure, WCLS staff will continue to make holds and a small collection of books available during normal library hours in the lobby next to the YMCA. Programs and storytimes will be held, when possible, in the Multipurpose Room at the Community Center.

Getting the Word Out Print Email

Girl holding library cardIn April we celebrated the Grand Opening of the South Whatcom Library.  A big crowd joined us for the ribbon-cutting and dedication, and others stopped by throughout the day to attend a storytime or marionette show, listen to ukulele music, or nibble on Lafeen’s doughnut holes.
