Whatcom READS! Receives Grant: Events Begin in January Print Email

Whatcom READS-Western Reads logoWhatcom READS!, the annual county-wide one-book reading program in Whatcom County, was awarded a $3,500 matching grant from Humanities Washington to support the 2015 program. The Whatcom County Library Foundation (WCLF) received the funds. The Friends of the Bellingham Public Library and WCLF are the major contributing sponsors for Whatcom READS!

Receive personalized assistance signing up for insurance through the Washington HealthPlanFinder at several WCLS Libraries in January and February. Knowledgeable assistance will be provided by the Whatcom Alliance for Health Advancement (WAHA) and the Opportunity Council.

Whatcom County Library Foundation Receives Veterane Family Gift Print Email

WCLF logoThe Whatcom County Library Foundation is pleased to announce that it received $8,000 from the Veterane Family Foundation, the largest unrestricted gift in the organization’s ten-year history.  The donation was recommended by Whatcom County resident Robert Bates, who is a member of the Veterane family.
