New Features Make Using eBooks Easier

eReaderAre you constantly checking to see if your eBook is ready to check out? If so, you can now turn on automatic borrowing for titles you’ve placed on hold and when ready, they will be automatically checked out to you. With automatic borrowing, you no longer have to worry about missing the hold pickup time! You’ll receive an email to let you know the title is ready to read.

Deming Library to Digitize Historic Nesset Family Photos

Washington Rural Heritage logoThe Deming Library, has received a grant from the Washington Rural Heritage, a program of the Washington State Library, to preserve and make available the historic Nesset Family photo collection, an immeasurable value as a primary source of local history.

Lynden Library adds 3D Printer for Public Use

3D!Exciting news! The Friends of the Lynden Library have donated a MakerBot Replicator 2 desktop 3D printer to the Lynden Library. An open house and demonstration is planned for September 17, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the library. Manager Sarah Ward anticipates the printer will be extremely popular. Demonstration drop-ins and hands-on labs will start in October.
