Buy our Books at the BOB Shop Grand Opening Print E-mail

Buy Our Books! Build Our Building! Support a New Ferndale Library.  Every sort of book and more from A-Z will be available Saturday March 13, 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the Grand Opening of the B.O.B. Shop!Find it in the City Annex (the old Dimitri’s restaurant) adjacent to the New Ferndale Library building site on Main St. in Ferndale (across the street from the Post Office). 

The B.O.B. Shop will be open for several weekends this spring:
Thursday March 18 through Saturday, March 20, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Thursday, March 25 through Saturday March 27, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Thursday, April 9 through Saturday, April 11, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Saturday, April 17, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Clearance Sale

Ferndale Poetry Festival--Call for Submissions Print E-mail

Ferndale Poetry FestivalThe Friends of the Ferndale Library are Calling Out for Poetry Submissions from all Ferndale Youth ages 5 through 19.  All submitted poetry, on any topic and of no more than 25 lines, would be recognized. 

Standout pieces from 4 age groups will receive special recognition at the Ferndale Poetry Festival on April 22nd and 29th. 
Age groups are: 5-8, 9-12, 13-15 and 16-19.  

Submissions due by March 19th.

The Knitting Guild: March Print E-mail

Anyone who enjoys knitting is welcome.

Ferndale Friends Book Club: March Print E-mail

The Ferndale Friends Book Club will meet to discuss Mudbound by Hillary Jordan.  City-bred new wife Laura struggles to adjust to an isolated life on a mudbound Mississippi delta cotton farm in this story of mindless prejudice and unlikely friendships.  Winner of Barbara Kingsolver’s Bellwether Prize in 2006 for socially responsible literature.  The title for April 26th will be The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein. Everyone welcome.
