Explore the Past, Enrich the Present in 2010.  
Bellingham-born author Michael Impero shares his story of The Lone Jack, King of the Mount Baker Mining District when he appears at Everson McBeath Community Library, 104 Kirsch Drive, on Saturday, September 25th, at 3 p.m.   Gold was discovered in Whatcom County in 1897 and thus began the Mount Baker Gold Rush with its riches, hardships, avalanches, and a murder.  The public is invited.  Free.
